World No AIDS Day!

All what go through you today must be about AIDS. Newspapers, television channels, outdoor campaigns, and what more, even your SMS messages are spreading the awareness and keeping you informed.

And all what you have to do is simple. Use condoms. (As if whenever and wherever.) Sounds like ‘you can still beat up your mother, but use gloves’

Isn’t it really jejune, at least I feel so! This is fighting dark with darkness, instead of leading with light! The protection against AIDS should mean the protection against ill-temptations, the fight against illegitimate sexual consuetude. Then the awareness should go about how You and Me should use our discretion, and not just to clothe the Condoms alone. But then, the very sense of Condom would become irrelevant and the message becomes, ‘use your minds’, ‘use your beliefs’ and’ ‘use your culture’. But if that happens, if the world turns by virtue in one midnight, who will watch your sex-packed movies, who will stay in front of the ‘sex-uated’ channels, read sex-only-sells books and buy that seductive list of ‘sex-gettable and age-killing’ products?

So it’s what they want for you, dear people, to use protection. But they would never ever reveal that ‘Abstinence’ is the right protection, and not Condoms. They are conveniently forgetting that staying away wouldn’t need you to be protected.

Remember, Condoms are humane, but Abstinence is, Divine.

Fire Dance!!

As India's Petroleum stores are still 'burning bright' under the supervision of our Governments and the Army it has delegated to extinguish the same, I firmly believe, we are heading towards a rise in the prices of Petroleum products in the near future.

Where will we makeup for that 500 Crore which got burnt up in one fortnight? From people's pocket, where else? Who are those 8 people who died and how? No answers! Were they being killed for the sake of lessening the outcries against a brutal carelessness? Who knows!

Anyway, a country which has too limited a provision for its natural resources, especially Petroleum, should have been more vigilant against such occurrences! At least even if this had happened, there should have been enough solutions to extinguish the fire before it was burning out a whopping 500 Crore!

Anyway, dear common man, be prepared for taking heavier wallets to the petrol pumps, or learn to use the public traffic!!
